Happy Birthday Raji and Irdhi

Today Raji and Irdhi  – Didi – are 15 years old. Susan says Raji shows no signs of being any more than a puppy. Her littersister Irdhi is alive and well. According to my records there were two other full siblings, but I don’t know if they were littermates. Dharmapala Namgay and Dharmapala Tchang. Tchang was the sire of my Drepung, Nyalu and Panchen.

Here’s Raji…

Well, this was a scheduled blog entry. Unfortunately the following was yesterday:

The vet thinks Raji is having a cervical disk issue.
She is doing blood work and taking some cervical X-rays.
I will pick her up tonight, and unless the X-ray shows something else
(tumor??), we will put her on heavy pain meds and strict confinement for
a week or so to see if we can get her better.

A A R G H…..What a way to spend your 15th birthday….

Kathy on…Mme. de Zarobe’s website

Absolutely love the photo of Ceese!!  Now that’s a true apso
maypole!! :))

Took time to fully explore Yolande de Zarobe’s website…did she visit
your home for Apsos on the Mountain?  The historical info with old
news clippings/photos were fascinating.  Has there ever been talk of a
“global Lhasa Apso summit”?  Now wouldn’t that be something!!

Puppies doing great in new homes

Just heard from Rod:

Karma and Dawa are doing great, he loves playing with her and it does not seem like he is being to rough.  She will charge across the room towards him at full speed and he just jumps into the air and then chases her, so all is going well with them.  It is fun to just watch them in their antics!  She is going to school with him today; so we will see how well he remembers his commands with her present.  Great seeing you again, take care.

Julie got this regarding Kenzie:

The puppy loves it outside. Her favorite thing is to chase the dead leaves, which is even more fun if the wind is blowing. We have gone 3 days without any indoors accidents.  In fact, the night before last she went to the back door and whined at it–pretty good. The nights are getting better.  She only whines when she needs to go out and immediately after we put her back in the crate. We have chew toys, but she is still looking to gnaw on furniture and our fingers.  She is scolded whenever we catch her at it, but I am not crazy about all the biting of feet when we walk.
Can already see how much we will miss her when we are in Hawaii!
