This section contains a wealth of information. The Apso of the future based on the Apso of the past was a theme throughout the Kunza at FFT breeding programs. For years we utilized the traditional practice of line breeding, later incorporating the principles of population genetics and genetic diversity. Our dogs contributed DNA to a number of research projects around the globe, including the plasticity of the canine genome, development of a DNA test for Renal Dysplasia, and tracing the origins of dog breeds.
