I overslept. I want to respond about Ponya. I tried to put this video right in this blog entry. Can’t figure that out, so please take my word for it. Give yourself a treat and watch it.

wow…i wonder how much of that was choreographed!!!

Shelly, as a former dancer I would guess a great deal of it was choreographed, just by the places the dancers occupied, the syncopation and the relative “difficulty” of the moves (no major dance moves, like pirouettes, etc, but the participants were all age groups and they were all in sync). But it was choreographed to look like it was spontaneous. I was fascinated by the participation of the onlookers. They went from surprise to joyful participation in an event designed to brighten the lives of everyone there – and all of us who witnessed the Event on Youtube, too! Had I been there, I would have joined right in!
I’d love to know “the rest of the story” on this one!

More than 200 dancers were performing their version of “Do Re Mi”, in the Central Station of Antwerp. with just 2 rehearsals they created this amazing stunt! Those 4 fantastic minutes started the 23 of march 2009, 08:00 AM. It is a promotion stunt for a Belgian television program, where they are looking for someone to play the leading role, in the musical of “The Sound of Music”.
