Edmund’s a Champion!!

Today Edmund officially became Champion FFT No Wine Before Its Time! The serious quest for his title began August 18…from start to finish less than two months. I’ve lost track of how many Champions Julie and I have bred and/or owned, but he’s the 13th Champion bred by Kaylee. Truely a team effort, Kaylee handled him to his second major, the weekend of the Twin Cities Lhasa Apso Specialties. Debby handled him the weekend of the Colorado Specialty. And, with the exception of Tammy handling him to his first point, Julie did the rest.

Am I excited? Yes! Edmund is classic in type and my favorite color. Red! I’m looking forward to him coming back to Colorado soon.

Debby on…IBC

Many of you know that my sister-in-law was diagnosed several years ago with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. It’s a form of breast cancer that is considered stage 4 – the last stage – upon diagnosis. The cancer doesn’t grow tumor-style, instead the cells lay down in sheets. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Please take 5 minutes and watch this excellent, informative piece. It could save the life of someone you know or love.

Puppy Biting

Julie sent an excellent article, written by Ian Dunbar, about puppy biting. Even if you don’t have a puppy, I recommend reading it. Click on the above logo to explore that website. I’m really curious about the book titled Dogs Bite But Ballons and Slippers Are More Dangerous.

Blogrolls

I figured out one more thing…and now you’ll find Blogrolls – titled Apso Aficianados, in the left hand column.

Katy and Toshimi both have blogs. Katy sent the following:

Autumn greetings!Whew!  After a long and extremely busy summer on the farm, I’m finally back at the easel.

If you’re curious about what the future holds for my art, add it to your favorites and check back once in a while!

There’s never a dull moment on Raindance Berry Farm!

Warmest regards,Katy Widger
