Bella update
Posted: September 16, 2007 Filed under: FFT Lhasa Apsos Leave a commentJulie received the following from Bella’s owners. Bella is the litter sister of Iris (Shelley’s puppy and Lily (with Julie).
Just thought that I would update you on Bella.
She went to Canada this wek-end and passed with flying colors. Everyone that saw her fell in love with her.
She has her ups and downs. Some days she is very laid back and others a little devil. Some times its like having a new baby (which she is) that has to put everything in her mouth, We know when she has something that she really knows that she shouldn’t because she runs like the dickens and I think, she dares us to catch her. She is very smart and Martin says thats where breeding counts.
She is also loosing her baby teeth. I laughed yesterday when I checked her—she looked different and the two middle ones on the bottom were gone, she looked like my Grandson—he just lost his two on the bottom too. Well today all four of them are out but you can see in one place where the new ones are trying to break thru.
She’s slowly getting the “come” thing but when she doesn’t want to listen she looks at you like your some kind of dummie or as much as to say “who—Me?” In about a month or so she’s going to have to learn “sit” & “stay” and that should be fun.
We are so glad we found her because she is loved to death so you don’t have to worry on this end. She sits with “Daddy” when he read the paper in the morning and attacks him at night when he comes thru the door and he loves every minute of it.
Will let you know when she is spayed which will be after the baby teeth.
Take care.
Edwina
Aaron and Taschi-Deleg
Posted: September 16, 2007 Filed under: FFT Lhasa Apsos Comments Off on Aaron and Taschi-DelegAaron – Champion Byrnwood Fleetfire Primal Fear – will be nine years old in October. Taschi-Deleg – a Gompa dog – was ten years old this past April. Elizabeth send these photos, showing the two sleeping together on the couch and the bed. Both male dogs lived in my kennel until each contributed to their perspective breeding program.
The last time I saw Elizabeth, she shared some fascinating information regarding hair analysis on her horse Jigs. Through this analysis, the lab was able to pinpoint areas that needed to be addressed. Too much of this. Too little of that. She didn’t know if the lab does canine hair analysis, but was very impressed with their professionalism.
Seth – aka Samson – update
Posted: September 14, 2007 Filed under: FFT Lhasa Apsos Leave a commentReceived this post this week. Samson – aka Seth – is formally known as Champion FFT It’s Five O’clock Somewhere. He’s been in his forever home since last Christmas.
This is just an update on Samson’s life with the Fraser’s.
He is a wonderful, happy, playful dog and we are so happy he has come into our home. We have been in Ohio since late May and he has been introduced to a different lifestyle from his life in Florida. We live in an area where he must be walked on a leash but in our own yard he follows me around as I inspect the garden. He is quite interested in our neighbors next door and I have found him several times “window-peeking” in their kitchen door! When I walk him in the afternoon he greets a few other dogs he has met and is particularly interested in Bender, a yellow Lab who is owned by my friend Mary, also known as the “Cookie Lady” who always has tiny dog biscuits in her pocket.
Sam retires in the evening at the end our bed (he’s spoiled rotten!) but before he settles down he rearranges the blankets to his specifications which entails lots of pulling, scratching and turnarounds. He remains there until he decides it is time to wake up and then of course WE must wake up also. I’m not always in agreement but he is so adorable that I can’t stop smiling at him and finally give in.
We will be returning to Florida in about a month to get away from the gloomy, cold Ohio weather. Our Colorado son, Don Fraser, and our grandson, Michael, will be joining us for Christmas so we are looking forward to that.
Hoping that everything is going well at your kennel and that you are well also,
Your grateful new mother of Samson,
Caroline

Debby on…website questions
Posted: September 3, 2007 Filed under: DRambles on Black Mountain, FFT Lhasa Apsos 3 CommentsRoman’s owner, Mary, wrote to me yesterday, with several questions and let me know that links to his photos weren’t working. I really appreciate this. Please do let me know when something isn’t working! At Julie’s request, I redid Roman’s ‘postcard’ in the Galleries section, but neglected to relink it to his pedigree and collage page. It may have taken me a long time to realize this oversight without Mary’s input. Thanks again!
Mary asked about the dog on the home page, blowing in the wind, on the rocks. That’s Seth, Ch. FFT It’s Five O’clock Somewhere. Seth is Roman’s sire. That photo was taken by Faye, the day Seth completed his Championship. Julie was in Colorado too. I had something else going at the show site…and asked them to please do a photo session. While that photo looks like he’s high on a mountain top, he’s actually in front of a rock wall at a gas station!

With rare exception, all the photos and artwork is of our dogs. Feel free to inquire about any of them!
