My advice for those considering a career in canine art is to master photography, study the basics of good painting and drawing, know your market, put samples out there and keep your prices low until demand for your work is greater than your ability to produce it. Cultivate patience, an understanding of dog behavior, and a sense of humor – it’s not an easy vocation, but it is full of rewards.
