Kathy on…Beloved Dog Toys…

Serendipity. Synchronicity. Or as Kathy mentions, ironic. As you’ll see in the following, Kathy shared Beloved Dog Toys a few days ago. The blog entry was waiting for me this morning. But! Last night Kathy wanted me to Check It Out! If I hadn’t been to Katy’s blog….Ironic. Synchronicity. Serendipity. Whatever, Check It Out!
Hi Debby,
How ironic you blogged on toys this morning!  Over the weekend, I discovered this artist and her dog portraits.  http://www.ipaintyourpet.net/   Am positively moved to laughter by this tough looking guy with his sweet Ernie chew toy.  Have been photographing our dogs fav toys.  The toys are literally loved to pieces, limp, scrunched and gnarly looking.  I think it was Bark who ran a series of best loved toys…sweet and poignant.

This was Tess’s toy duck, now retired and loved to it’s last quack.

Anyone else have any favorite dog toy stories? Or photos?

Good Evening Debby;

Yesterday I was presented this picture from Laura’s brother, Bobby. He took it candidly Christmas Day……..I think it’s so nice !! Chloe is on the left and Ethan on the right. Don’t they look like “kiss’in cousins”? My friend LeAnn in Minnesota thought it looked like one dog in a mirror.

The Secret

img2AI’ve added a bunch of article to the website in the past month, clearing out a drawer full of saved magazines. I’ve added them as resources on the appropriate page. Veterinary Care. Reproduction. Training. And on and on. Vickie shared The Secret. Used with permission, it was easy enough to add it to The Library, but wasn’t sure which page it fit best. It’s an awesome tribute to a foundation bitch, but somehow Reproduction didn’t seem like the right category. Finally, I settled on Exhibiting…even though it’s a piece all of you with old dogs will enjoy. Enjoy!

Kathy on…Mme. de Zarobe’s website

Absolutely love the photo of Ceese!!  Now that’s a true apso
maypole!! :))

Took time to fully explore Yolande de Zarobe’s website…did she visit
your home for Apsos on the Mountain?  The historical info with old
news clippings/photos were fascinating.  Has there ever been talk of a
“global Lhasa Apso summit”?  Now wouldn’t that be something!!

Stella…

I thought you’d enjoy these photos … a dog just ran past and Murphy and Katie tore out the doggy door – poor little Bitsy/Stella came running back to me so I let her out, too.  She’s a little intimidated by the door!  Anyway, they were running up and down the deck.  I tried to get a good one of all three of them, but that one is a little dark and I should have used telephoto.

Hope all is well with you.  Things are going well here.  The dogs are playing together much of the time – especially Bitsy and Katie – they are becoming buddies.  Sometimes Murphy decides to join in, but other times he acts like he thinks he’s above all that.
