Champion FFT All Said and Done

Sadie finished her Championship title Milwaulkee Specialty weekend, giving her mother Ch. Timbers’ She Tsabo Shot O’ Tequila the requirements for her Register of Merit Dam title. Sadie’s litterbrother FFT Kisses of Fire – Dante – is hot on the trail in quest of his own Championship having won Winners Dog in his last three shows.

Like her brothers, Fernando and Dante, Sadie’s name is derived from an Abba song, in tribute to their sire, Champion Brroksbjur Abba Ka Da Bra. Here are the lyrics:

Heres to us one more toast and then well pay the bill
Deep inside both of us can feel the autumn chill
Birds of passage, you and me
We fly instinctively
When the summers over and the dark clouds hide the sun
Neither you nor Im to blame when all is said and done

In our lives we have walked some strange and lonely treks
Slightly worn but dignified and not too old for sex
Were still striving for the sky
No taste for humble pie
Thanks for all your generous love and thanks for all the fun
Neither you nor Im to blame when all is said and done

Its so strange when youre down and lying on the floor
How you rise, shake your head, get up and ask for more
Clear-headed and open-eyed
With nothing left untried
Standing calmly at the crossroads,no desire to run
Theres no hurry any more when all is said and done

Standing calmly at the crossroads,no desire to run
Theres no hurry any more when all is said and done

Fernando’s on the move

Looking in the mirror as a young puppy, what did he see? Saturday, March 31, the first time shown as a Champion, Fernando wins Best of Breed and Group 1! The judge commented on his head, coat and size. Way to go, Fernando!

Fernando finished his Championship title March 4 with back-to-back 4 point majors, winning Best of Breed both days and placing fourth in the Group on Saturday. All three judges said he was a beautiful dog; comments included “lovely head’, ‘wonderful condition’, ‘beautiful coat’. Judge Stephen Hurt said, “I knew he was my breed winner the minute I saw him. If you know me, you know I’m a stickler for coat texture and head. This dog has both.”
