Kathy on…Beloved Dog Toys…

Serendipity. Synchronicity. Or as Kathy mentions, ironic. As you’ll see in the following, Kathy shared Beloved Dog Toys a few days ago. The blog entry was waiting for me this morning. But! How ironic you blogged on toys this morning! Over the weekend, I discovered this artist and her dog portraits. http://www.ipaintyourpet.net/ Am positively moved to laughter by this tough looking guy with his sweet Ernie chew toy. Have been photographing our dogs fav toys. The toys are literally loved to pieces, limp, scrunched and gnarly looking. I think it was Bark who ran a series of best loved toys…sweet and poignant.

This was Tess’s toy duck, now retired and loved to it’s last quack.

I thought you’d enjoy these photos … a dog just ran past and Murphy and Katie tore out the doggy door – poor little Bitsy/Stella came running back to me so I let her out, too. She’s a little intimidated by the door! Anyway, they were running up and down the deck. I tried to get a good one of all three of them, but that one is a little dark and I should have used telephoto.

Hope all is well with you. Things are going well here. The dogs are playing together much of the time – especially Bitsy and Katie – they are becoming buddies. Sometimes Murphy decides to join in, but other times he acts like he thinks he’s above all that.
