Cool old footage of an old castle in England. Love the grooming attire lolol

The lead-in:

Downton Castle, Ludlow, Shropshire.

The Elkhound is a like a short stocky Alsatian. In this story there are shots of the dogs being fed by Janice Wilkins, the dogs being groomed, walked round the grounds of the castle, and 2 week old puppies being weighed and put back near ‘mum’. The castle, built in 1770, looks magnificent and the family have lived there for 200 years.

Note : The documentation mentions Heather Hornell, Mrs K’s daughter, as being one of the dog walkers.

Debby: I couldn’t figure out how to just post a Veterinary Care post to your blog. I came across Dr. Gloria Dodd’s website…She lives up here in Sea Ranch and she is amazing resource. She writes that in her opinion and years of research that head trauma is a major reason for why animals are so sick for so much of their lives…She went to UCDavis Vet school in the 60’s and studied alternative medicine…She is trying to help me with a foster deaf lhasa and shih tzu I have with me who have been very sick for the month I have had them..Her web site is www.holisticvetpetcare.comand it is full of information. There is an article on head trauma and the homeopathic medicines that she recommends and that she created. You have to be patient because there is so much material. But I believe it could help lots of your readers whose dogs have chronic ailments like skin issues esp. as they are related to vaccinosis…etc.

All of yesterday was spent in the yard … probably our favorite pastime when what could pass for summer (at least in Colorado) arrives. Frankers is such a hoot, taking it upon himself to the be self-appointed yard guard, always on alert. One never knows when a black bird, intent upon throwing bark around, will show up …
