Debby on…The Brook Forest Inn

For those of you coming to the open house from out of town, there’s an inn 2 miles from my house. The accommodations range from suites to doubles.

I have been talking about coming to the Open House for 2(?) years now!!!!! I would probably come alone..(Is Darby coming, do you know?) I should only come for a couple days or so….What is your schedule for the weekend (or starting Friday, I guess, for the show?) Will you be in Greeley most of the weekend? Can you suggest what I should do here? and I have never driven up to your house only to your grooming salon, remember….Its like going up to the Himalayas for me…I know it is quite a ways from the airport…The inn looks like an interesting place to stay if I can handle the ghosts….What would you do if you were me? can’t wait to meet everyone…..Gail

Gail, it would be so great if you would come!I’ll be in Greeley from Friday afternoon through Sunday’s judging. The judging schedule isn’t avaiable until about 10 days before the shows, so I don’t know what time that will be. I’ve heard through several grapevines that Darby is coming out and plans to fly back to California late Monday night. My house is an hour and 15 minutes from the airport and 15 – 20 minutes from my grooming shop.

If you’re interested in learning more about the Lhasa Apso, I suggest you fly in Saturday, rent a car and come to Greeley for Cathy Marley’s presentation. Stay the night with us in Greeley. We can find half a bed for you in one of our rooms. Watch judging Sunday and then follow me up into my neck of the woods.

Chris and I drove up to Grass Valley to attend the second meeting of the Northern California Lhasa Club and watch some lhasas compete….We saw Darby whom we hadn’t seen in a couple years….She is always so busy and travelling…What a fountain of knowledge she is and such a gracious lady…I always enjoy seeing her…I brought Panchen so Darby could meet him. She remarked on how well behaved he was and what a beautiful Gompa head he had….So Darby isn’t coming and Chris can’t either and I am still sort of sitting on the fence about it…I really didn’t want to travel alone..I feel I am missing out on something big here..missing seeing the dogs and my new old soul family….

Gail, if it’s any help, Apsos on the Mountain will most likely be an annual affair. Dr. Marley won’t be giving her presentation every year, but it’s my intention to have something educational each year, over the weekend. I hope you decide to come!
