Creativity wags its tail

You guys might think this is silly, stupid or any combination of a number of other words. I, however, appreciate the talent and artistry. My friend Mitch sent the link, letting me know he wants his dog Magic to look like this next time I groom her. I told him he’d better watch what he asks for!

This is my work…

And this dog was in the shop recently…

Doors Open Denver

Doors Open Denver is an annual celebration of Denver’s built environment and design. During the free two-day event, you can tour the spectacular buildings you see every day but may never have entered. You will truly experience and develop a new appreciation for your home town and the sites that comprise Denver’s rich architectural landscape.

A week ago Rick and I headed down-the-hill, first stop (taken from Wikipedia):

The Daniels & Fisher (D&F) Tower is a distinctive DenverColorado landmark. Built as part of the Daniels & Fisher department store in 1910, it was the tallest structure west of the Mississippi at the time, at a height of 325 feet (99 m). The building was designed by the architect Frederick Sterner and modeled after The Campanile (St. Mark’s Bell Tower) at the Piazza San Marco in VeniceItaly.[1] The 20-floor clock towerhas clock faces on all four sides. Daniels & Fisher were later bought out by the May Company in 1958, and the store vacated the tower. When the store was demolished (ca. 1971), the tower was saved and renovated into lofts and businesses in 1981. It stands today in downtown Denver.

This place was so cool! A wannabe photographer’s dream!

Getting the bug…

When I read the above title in Vickie’s subject line, I initially thought Oh,oh. She caught the creepin’ crud that flared back up inside my chest. Nope! Something much more fun!

… the gardening bug, that is!!  Probably because spring has hit in the low lands <g>.  Think I’ll have to try my hand at some of these combos
