Mexican lion…

This is the true story of a Garage Owner in the Southwest

(New Mexico)

He was sick and tired of thugs breaking into his garage shop to steal tools, etc. So he came up with this idea.  He put the word out that he had a new Mexican Lion that would attack anyone that would break in or climb his fence. Would-be thieves saw the “Lion” from a distance and fled the scene.

The dog’s probably trying to figure out why his head’s so hot and his butt’s so cold?

A Year in Tibet

BEIJING, July 16 (Xinhua) — The production team of “A Year in Tibet”, a five-episode documentary on Tibet that became a hit after it was shown on BBC in 2008, announced Thursday that the movie will “soon” be broadcast on CCTV and other Chinese TV channels.

Kathy notes:  The Free Tibet folks denounce it as propoganda,,,because it was made in coop. with the Bejing govt. The director/producer is Chinese..a woman. Still very, very interesting…it gives daily life, of ordinary Tibetans….customs/traditions/how people survive in such a vast country.

Amazon offers the movie, A Year in Tibet, in five segments at $0.99 each.

Without Fear, Go

I read a great editorial by Lowell Schmorrow-Zuckerman in the latest Clean Run magazine titled Aspiration versus Expectation. About how aspiration is realizing one’s potential and how expectation is built on ege. I liked the message and accepted the invitation in the author’s info to ‘follow their exploits’.

What a great blog! He takes great photographs too! Be sure to click on the slideshow.

Have Apsos, Will Travel

Deb,
Because boarding and housesitting are often more expensive than an actual planned trip, could you and your fellow show folks give some pointers on traveling especially by car, with your dogs?
How do you handle food (especially if it’s homemade/or do you feed only kibble)?
Do you have a favorite line of motels that cater to your dogs’ needs?
How do you carry/pack crates, exercise pens, bedding, accident control items, toys, etc.?
And what kind of cars do you especially like for travel and why?
How often do you make car stops with the dogs enroute to a destination during the day?
How do you handle a carsickness?
Do you favor vacation home rentals?
Have any funny travel stories?
Thanks!
Kathy
