Have Apsos, Will Travel

Because boarding and housesitting are often more expensive than an actual planned trip, could you and your fellow show folks give some pointers on traveling especially by car, with your dogs?
How do you handle food (especially if it’s homemade/or do you feed only kibble)?
Do you have a favorite line of motels that cater to your dogs’ needs?
How do you carry/pack crates, exercise pens, bedding, accident control items, toys, etc.?
And what kind of cars do you especially like for travel and why?
How often do you make car stops with the dogs enroute to a destination during the day?
How do you handle a carsickness?
Do you favor vacation home rentals?
Have any funny travel stories?
Thanks!
Kathy

There's a Polar Bear In our Frigidaire-- He likes it 'cause it's cold in there. With his seat in the meat And his face in the fish And his big hairy paws In the buttery dish, He's nibbling the noodles, He's munching the rice, He's slurping the soda, He's licking the ice. And he lets out a roar If you open the door. And it gives me a scare To know he's in there-- That Polary Bear In our Fridgitydaire. |
